Thank you and Happy Retirement Joan

We had a lovely morning on Friday celebrating Joan as she completed her final day as Lollipop Lady at Mary, Mother of Hope.

Joan has been with us for 19 years and has guided hundreds of children safely across the road both morning and afternoon with a warm smile and kind word. On Friday morning the children made a guard of honour, cheered Joan and thanked her as she made a final walk through the campus.

Thank you Joan. Wishing you all the best on your retirement. Enjoy every minute!

Seachtain na Gaeilge Fun & Lá Glas

We had a fabulous time in school over the last week celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge. The boys and girls completed many fun and exciting activities in their classes and together as a whole school to celebrate the Irish language and Irish traditions.

We hope you all have a lovely St Patrick’s Day weekend with your family and friends.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Dear Parents,

Seachtain na Gaeilge

We are currently preparing for Seachtain na Gaeilge  (Irish Language week) in our school and there are lots of lovely things happening for the children.

Children are learning additional songs, poems and dances as Gaeilge and we have had a focus on Gaeilge in assembly. We are making a big effort to speak more Irish to each other – I’m sure your child can teach you some phrases!

The children are busy playing games, singing and making art to celebrate ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ and the school is decorated with beautiful creative pieces.

We will enjoy … read more »
